Calangute: Calangute Police have registered a case of criminal breach of trust after a man allegedly absconded with a rented vehicle in Baga.
According to the complaint lodged by Suraj Thakur, a 21-year-old resident of Candolim, the accused, identified as Arjun Ram, son of Mohan Lal and a native of Om Nagar, Barmer, Rajasthan, fled with a white Hyundai Creta (registration number GA03-AH-5486) that had been entrusted to him on September 25, 2025, around noon at Neelam Grand, Baga, Calangute.
Police said the accused did not return the vehicle and went missing along with it. The car details include Chassis No. MALPC812TNM373813 and Engine No. G4FLNV359460.
An offence under Section 316 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS), 2023 has been registered at Calangute Police Station (Cr. No. 151/2025). Head Constable Nilesh Naik (HC 4569) is conducting further investigation.
