ANJUNA: Anjuna Police have arrested a 40-year-old man for allegedly threatening and intentionally injuring another man by ramming him with his car near Ibis Hotel in Vagator.
According to police, the incident occurred around 10.00 a.m. on 8 July 2025 at The Courtyard Villas near Ibis Hotel, Vagator. The complainant, 24-year-old Rupali Das, reported that the accused, identified as Sujan Chandravardan Mehta of Lonavala, Pune, first abused her husband Uttam Das with obscene language and threatened to kill them both.
Police said Mehta then allegedly reversed his car (MH-01-ER-1897) into Uttam Das, pinning him between the vehicle and a compound wall. The victim sustained serious injuries as a result.
The accused was arrested the same day at 6.37 p.m. Anjuna Police have registered a case and further investigation is underway.
