Arpora: Anjuna Police on Friday (28 November 2025) registered an offence after a violent altercation near a resort in Arpora left a 62-year-old man seriously injured.
The complaint, filed by Narayan Morajkar, 33, a taxi operator from Tambudki Waddo, Arpora, states that at around 9:00 am, the accused — Anuj Shirodkar, 32, businessman, resident of Gorbhat Waddo, Arpora — allegedly attacked the complainant’s uncle, Tukaram Narayan Morajkar, with a metal koita, causing a deep cut injury to his right palm.
When the complainant confronted Shirodkar, he was allegedly punched on the face, abused in foul language, and threatened with death, reportedly over a dispute involving the accused’s former girlfriend.
Following the complaint, Anjuna Police registered Crime No. 152/2025 under Sections 118(2), 115(2), 352, and 351(3) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) 2023. The accused was arrested at 2:49 pm the same day.
