CURTORIM: A man has been arrested for allegedly assaulting a woman and her mother with a gardening tool following a personal dispute in Davorlim.
According to police, the complaint was filed by Rachel Pereira, a resident of Baga, Davorlim. The incident occurred in the early hours of March 16, 2026, around 4:00 am, when the accused, identified as Willy Santana Fernandes of Argicol, Curtorim, allegedly attacked the complainant.
Police stated that the आरोपी used a gardening pick axe to assault both the complainant and her mother. The mother sustained grievous head injuries, while the complainant suffered simple injuries.
The accused also allegedly abused the victims using filthy language and issued death threats during the incident.
Following the complaint, police registered a case and arrested the accused in connection with the crime. Further investigation is being carried out by PSI Gaurav Naik of Maina Curtorim Police Station.
