PANAJI: A 29-year-old man was arrested after allegedly damaging a police vehicle at the Panaji Police Station in the early hours of Thursday.
According to a complaint lodged by Police Constable Devrai K. Karbotkar (Buckle No. 6051) attached to the SPCR Panaji, the incident occurred after the accused, identified as Jagjeet Singh, son of Naresh Singh, a farmer from Thuliwal, Barnala, Punjab, was detained for creating a nuisance and damaging property at the Panaji fish market around 2:30 p.m.
The accused was brought to the police station in the PCR “Robot-1” vehicle by Constable Karbotkar and driver Sridhar Tari. Upon arrival, Jagjeet Singh allegedly broke the rear glass of the government vehicle.
Police have registered an offence in connection with the incident, and further investigation is in progress.
