VASCO: In a shocking incident at Baina, Vasco, a woman was murdered in her residence on Sunday afternoon.
Police said the accused, identified as Rohom Ali, a native of Assam, allegedly trespassed into the flat of complainant Mohammed Kasim Bedikar at Nayak Building, Katem Baina, and slit the throat of his mother, Mehrunanisa Bedikar, with a knife, leading to her death.
Following the complaint, Mormugao Police arrested the accused.
The investigation is being carried out under the supervision of PI Sherif Jaques.
