ANJUNA: A 26-year-old man from Andhra Pradesh was arrested by Anjuna Police on June 24 in connection with a theft reported from a rented apartment in Charvi Reemz, Anjuna.
According to the complaint filed by Raushan Ranjan, a resident of Bengaluru and native of Madhubani, Bihar, the theft occurred in the early hours of June 22, around 3:15 am, when an unknown person entered his first-floor apartment (Flat No.104, Building No.3) through a sliding window.
The accused allegedly stole an iPhone 14, a Samsung Galaxy A42, Apple 2nd generation AirPods, and ₹1,000 in cash — with the total value of stolen items estimated at ₹95,000.
Following investigation, the accused, identified as Manchineni Santosh Kumar, a businessman from Anantapur, Andhra Pradesh, was arrested on June 24 at 12 noon, in adherence to Supreme Court guidelines.
Police have recovered one Samsung Galaxy A42 mobile phone from his possession.
