COLLEM: The Collem police have arrested a resident of Sancorda for allegedly molesting a minor girl in December 2025.
The accused, identified as Sarvesh Naik, was apprehended following a formal complaint lodged by the victim’s mother.
According to police reports, the incident occurred near the Panchayat Office in Sancorda and Deulwada, Dharbandora. The accused reportedly approached the minor daughter of the complainant and offered her a lift to her residence in his Maruti Omni vehicle.
The complainant alleged that while in transit, Naik physically molested the girl by touching her inappropriately. Before dropping her off, the accused further intimidated the victim, warning her not to disclose the incident to anyone.
Acting on the complaint, the Collem police registered a case and subsequently placed Sarvesh Naik under arrest. The vehicle used in the alleged crime has also been noted as part of the investigation.
The case is currently being investigated by LPSI Anjali Dhulapkar of the Collem Police Station. Authorities are looking into whether there are any prior complaints against the accused.
