BICHOLIM: A man sustained serious injuries to his forehead after allegedly being assaulted by his brother with a sharp iron plate in Bicholim on Wednesday evening.
According to police, the incident occurred on August 7, 2025, at around 8:30 pm in Warchawada, Latambarcem, when Shrikrishna Shirodkar, resident of the same locality, abused his brother Deepak Shirodkar in filthy language and subsequently attacked him with a sharp iron plate (sud patti), resulting in a fracture injury to the forehead.
Following the complaint, Bicholim Police registered Crime No. 134/2025 on October 8, 2025, under Sections 352 and 118(2) of BNS 2023. The accused, Shrikrishna Shirodkar, was arrested on the same day.
The case is being investigated by ASI Laximan Ghadi, under the supervision of PI Vijay Rane Sardesai, SDPO Shridevi B.V., IPS, and under the overall supervision of SP North, Shri Rahul Gupta, IPS.
Police have confirmed that further investigation is underway.
