MAPUSA: A parking dispute near Rizim Plaza, Morod, Mapusa turned violent on Wednesday when a group of men allegedly assaulted two persons and issued death threats.
According to the complaint lodged by Sandip Kumar, son of Dharmendra Sahani, a resident of Sirsaim, Bardez and native of Bihar, the incident occurred around 11 a.m. on August 27.
The complainant alleged that the accused — identified as Rupsai, Aniket, Saish, Bhuvan and one unidentified male — confronted him and his colleague Prakash Talwar over a parking issue. Acting in common intention, the accused allegedly abused the duo with filthy language and assaulted Sandip Kumar with a key, slaps, fist blows, and kicks on vital parts of the body, causing injuries to both him and his colleague.
The complaint further states that the accused threatened to kill the victims and warned them of dire consequences.
Police have registered the case, and further investigation is in progress.
