Pernem: Goa Police have registered a case of assault following a property dispute at Morjim in Pernem taluka.
According to police, the offence was registered at Mandrem Police Station based on a complaint filed by Govind Shetgaonkar (43), a resident of Mardi Wada, Morjim.
The complaint states that on March 15 at around 11 am at New Wada, Morjim, at a property known as “Sakharibhatlem” bearing Survey No. 187/21 of Morjim village, the accused Ramnath Pandurang Shetgaonkar allegedly assaulted the complainant’s cousin, Pandurang Shetgaonkar, by hitting him on the head with a stone.
The assault reportedly occurred over a property dispute, resulting in grievous injuries to the victim.
Police have registered a case under Sections 118(2) and 352 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, and further investigation is being carried out by PSI Sarvesh Sawant of Mandrem Police Station.
