CURTORIM: A property dispute turned violent on Thursday morning after a local resident was allegedly assaulted and threatened in front of “Paul’s Residency” on the road from Curtorim towards Chandor.
Police said the incident occurred around 9 am on October 2, when complainant Jafflo Fernandes of Curtorim was allegedly attacked by Paul Fernandes, also from Curtorim, along with a minor boy (name withheld).
According to the complaint, the accused persons, acting with common intention, assaulted Fernandes with a wooden danda, slaps, and kicks, causing him bodily injuries. They also allegedly damaged his mobile phone, hurled filthy abuses, and threatened to kill him and his family.
Curtorim Police have registered an offence, and further investigation is being carried out by PSI Gaurav Naik.
