AGACAIM: Agacaim Police have registered Crime No. 01/2026 under Section 118(1) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) in connection with an assault on a senior citizen at Bambolim.
The FIR was registered in the early hours of 11 January 2026 at 2.23 am on the complaint of Mr Narayandas Velingkar (62), resident of H. No. 127, near Pira Bhat, Bambolim, Goa. He stated that on 10 January 2026 at around 6.00 pm, near New Papa’s Wine Shop, Pira Bhat, Bambolim, the accused Satish Palkar (47), son of Datta Palkar and resident of H. No. 185, Nauxim, ETDC, Goa University, Bambolim, Tiswadi, assaulted him with a wooden stick (danda).
The accused allegedly struck the complainant on the head, causing a bleeding injury.
Further investigation is being carried out by PSI Shubham Korgaonkar of Agacaim Police Station.
