CORTALIM: Verna Police have registered a case against a man for allegedly assaulting and subjecting his wife to physical and mental cruelty in Cortalim.
According to the complaint filed by Archana Samantary, originally from Odisha and residing in Cortalim, the accused Bichitra Samantaray (her husband) allegedly slapped her, beat her with a stick on July 13, 2025, and repeatedly threatened and tortured her on several occasions.
The case is under investigation with PSI Ramchandra Naik of Verna Police Station.
