PONDA: Ponda Police have registered an attempt to murder case following a deliberate accident reported from Tamshirem, Borim on March 21.
According to the complaint filed by Vithal Naik of Talaulim, the incident occurred at around 9:45 am when the accused, identified as Lavunath Naik of Wadi, Talaulim, allegedly drove his Alto car at high speed from Borim and intentionally rammed into the complainant’s brother, Bramhanand Naik.
Police said Bramhanand Naik was riding his Jupiter scooter from Talaulim towards Verna when the accused allegedly gave a deliberate dash, leaving him seriously injured. The accused reportedly fled the spot leaving the victim in a pool of blood and allegedly uttered threatening words before escaping.
Ponda Police have registered an offence of attempt to murder. Further investigation is being carried out by PSI Ashish Velip.
