PONDA: A complaint has been lodged against a resident of Warkhandem for allegedly obstructing the pathway of a physically disabled woman by deliberately parking vehicles in front of her house.
According to the complaint filed by Noorjahan Fakir, a resident of Warkhandem, the accused, Nasir Shaikh, also from Warkhandem, had been intentionally blocking the passage leading to her residence at TNK, Hanuman Housing Society, prior to June 6, 2025.
The complainant alleged that despite knowing she is 100% physically disabled and unable to walk, the accused repeatedly parked his four-wheeler and scooters on the pathway, wrongfully restraining her movement and forcing her to drag herself to reach home, thereby discriminating against her on the grounds of disability.
Further investigation is being carried out by Head Constable Anand Gaude (HC 5965) of Ponda Police Station.
