Valpoi: Valpoi police have registered a cheating case against Robert Kennedy for allegedly duping a local resident of ₹3.45 lakh by offering overseas employment.
According to the complaint filed by Santosh Dattaram Salkar, a resident of Patval, Valpoi, Sattari, the accused gained his trust on the pretext of arranging a job in Poland. The complainant stated that on September 19, 2025, the accused induced him to transfer money towards processing the overseas employment.
Police said the complainant transferred a total amount of ₹3.45 lakh through three separate bank transactions from his SBI and HDFC bank accounts. However, the accused allegedly failed to provide any employment and did not return the money, thereby cheating the complainant.
Based on the complaint registered on January 23 at 9.57 pm, Valpoi police have taken up the matter for investigation. PI Videsh Shirodkar is the investigating officer.
