FATORDA: Fatorda Police have booked a 46-year-old man for drunk driving and allegedly assaulting a traffic police constable on duty at Arlem Circle.
According to police, the incident occurred on 8 July 2025 when Simon Lawrence Borges, a resident of Raia, was riding a bullet motorcycle from Gogol Circle toward Arlem Circle. Police said he lost control of the bike and fell on the road under the influence of alcohol.
When Police Constable Pundalik Rathod of the Fatorda Traffic Cell, who was on duty at Arlem Circle, rushed to help, the accused allegedly abused him with filthy language and slapped him, thereby obstructing him from performing his lawful traffic duties.
Further investigation is being carried out by PSI Sanil Sawant Dessai of Fatorda Police Station.
