PONDA: The Ponda Police have registered a case against a Panaji resident for allegedly forging a complaint using another person’s signature and submitting it to the police to deceive others.
According to police, the complaint was lodged by Sonia Balkrishna Kudchadkar, a resident of Mumbai, Maharashtra. She alleged that prior to April 14, 2025, at Ponda Police Station, the accused Vasudev alias Soham Borkar, a resident of Altinho, Panaji, prepared a forged complaint using her signature dated April 14, 2025, and submitted it to the police.
The accused allegedly cheated the complainant along with Vishnu Borkar and Smita Borkar by using the fabricated document for unlawful purposes.
Police have registered an offence under relevant sections pertaining to forgery and cheating, and further investigation is being carried out by PSI Ashish Velip of Ponda Police Station.
