CUNCOLIM: Cuncolim Police have registered a case against a man for allegedly outraging the modesty of a woman aboard a passenger bus on March 16, 2026.
According to police, the incident occurred between 6:30 pm and 8:00 pm at Padi, when the accused, identified as Ankush Gaonkar, a resident of Gaondongrim in Canacona, allegedly touched the complainant inappropriately without her consent while seated next to her in the bus.
Based on the complaint filed by the victim (name withheld), Cuncolim Police registered an FIR under Section 74 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS), 2023.
Further investigation in the case is being carried out by PSI Sahil Pagui of Cuncolim Police Station.
