Panaji: A case of vehicle theft has been registered at Panaji Police Station after a resident of Chimbel lodged a complaint alleging that his two-wheeler was stolen from near a shop adjoining Chandra Building, next to Hotel Neptune in Panaji.
The complaint, filed by Mr. Shabbir Shaikh, a resident of Indira Nagar, Chimbel, stated that on July 29, 2025, between 11:00 am and 11:30 am, a person identified as Roy, son of John Oliver (46), resident of G-1 Vallan Chambers, Baman Bhat, Merces, dishonestly took possession of his parked TVS NTORQ scooter (blue-black, bearing registration No. GA-07-AM-2871) worth ₹1,18,000, without his consent.
The incident was reported to the Panaji Police Station at 11:52 pm on August 3, following which an offence was registered under Section 303(2) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, 2023. Head Constable Babu Maddanwar (HC-5717) is investigating the case under the supervision of PI, Panaji Police Station.
