CUNCOLIM: The Cuncolim Police have registered a case against a Karnataka native for allegedly misappropriating machinery equipment worth ₹12 lakh that was entrusted to him for safekeeping.
As per the complaint filed by Ismail Kerutagi, a resident of Chandor, Quepem, and originally from Karnataka, the incident occurred on September 24, 2025, around 2:00 pm, near the IOCL petrol pump at Panzorconi, Cuncolim.
The accused, identified as C.H. Venkata Ravi Krishna, a resident of Panzorconi, Cuncolim, and also a native of Karnataka, had reportedly been entrusted with an underground tracker (part of an HDD machine) belonging to the complainant. The equipment was kept in a rented room occupied by the accused for safe custody.
However, police said the accused dishonestly misappropriated the property for his own use, thereby cheating the complainant to the tune of ₹12 lakh.
Further investigation is being carried out by PSI Kishor Velip of Cuncolim Police Station.
