PONDA: Ponda Police have registered an FIR against a local resident after he allegedly assaulted a minor boy and threatened his parent near Rajiv Kala Mandir, Ponda, on September 1, 2025.
According to the complaint filed by the victim’s parent (identity withheld), the accused, identified as Prajesh Usgaonkar of Silvanagar, Ponda, allegedly tried to drag the complainant’s minor son into a shop around 8.09 am. When confronted, the accused allegedly abused and threatened the complainant, pushed them, and fled the spot.
Police have registered Crime No. 127/2025 under Sections 115(2), 352, 351(3) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) 2023 and Section 8 of the Goa Children’s Act.
Further investigation is being carried out by PSI Ashish Velip of Ponda Police Station.
