A 42-year-old man was found dead at the South Goa District Hospital (SGDH), Margao, on Wednesday night, with police suspecting death due to pesticide consumption.
Police received a call from the hospital’s Casualty Police around 8:54 pm on December 25, 2025, reporting that a male patient had been brought in deceased after allegedly ingesting pesticide.
The deceased has been identified as Shivanand Kanabaregi (42), a resident of San Jose De Areal, Curtorim.
