In a major crime in Porvorim a a Torda resident was burnt alive prompting the Chief Minister Dr Pramod Sawant to intervene and direct strong action against the culprits.
Sources said the unknown persons set Vilas Mhetar on fire.
“I have directed Goa Police to take strong action against the attackers in the dreadful incident at Porvorim today,” CM tweeted.
He said such heinous crime is intolerable and will be dealt with an iron hand.
“I pray for speedy recovery of the victim who is undergoing treatment at GMC,” he said.
Porvorim police are yet to give details of the case.
