BICHOLIM: Bicholim Police on Tuesday registered a case against a man for illegal gambling activities in a public place. According to a state complaint lodged by Head Constable Yuvaraj Naik (49), attached to Bicholim Police Station, the incident occurred on September 30, 2025, at around 2.55 pm at Kasarpal Junction, Latambarcem. The accused, Rohit Palekar (35), a resident of Pistewada, Nanoda, Kasarpal, was caught red-handed while accepting money bets from members of the public. Police seized ₹1,050 in cash of different denominations along with other gambling articles from his possession. Further investigation is underway.
