PANAJI: On the night of June 9, 2025, at around 8:50 p.m., Krishna Moolya, aged 64, was caught red-handed accepting money bets on numerical digital numbers—an illegal game of chance—near Neptune Hotel, Panaji, Tiswadi-Goa.
According to the complaint lodged by Head Constable Gurudas Ghadi of Panaji Police Station at 10:26 p.m., Krishna Moolya was found conducting gambling activities in a public place. Police seized Rs. 1,250 in cash, along with other gambling paraphernalia from his possession.
The accused, residing at H.No. 05, Voilembhat, Taliegao, Tiswadi-Goa, was arrested shortly after the complaint at 10:28 p.m. He was released on the same night at 10:32 p.m.
The Panaji Police continue to take strict action against illegal gambling to maintain law and order in the city.
