VASCO: A man was caught allegedly in possession of suspected ganja at Vasco Railway Station, leading to a case being registered by Vasco Railway Police.
According to police, PSI Krishna Talpi filed a state complaint stating that on April 3, 2026, between 8.10 am and 12.30 pm, at the end of Platform No. II near the railway yard at Vasco Railway Station, the accused Suyesh Pujari was caught red-handed.
The accused, a resident near Sai Nagar, Vasco, originally from Raichur, Karnataka, was allegedly found in illegal possession of dried greenish leaves, stems, flowering and fruiting parts of a plant emitting an intoxicating odour, suspected to be ganja.
Police said the contraband weighed approximately 203 grams and is valued at around Rs 20,000.
Vasco Railway Police have registered a case and further investigation is being carried out by PSI Krishna Talpi.
