MARGAO: After fighting for nearly two weeks, a 29-year-old native of Jharkhand, who had suffered severe burn injuries after coming into contact with live wires at the Margao railway station on November 16, passed away at the Goa Medical College and Hospital (GMCH), Bambolim, on Thursday.
The deceased has been named as 35-year-old Isaac Mallu, also known as Nirmodh Lagun. He had travelled to Goa in quest of work.
Allegedly intoxicated, he scaled the train compartment while it was stopped at the Margao railway station and came into contact with live wires.
Under Section 174 CrPC, the Konkan Railway Police have filed a case, and ASI A Gomes is leading the investigation.
