CANACONA: A 34-year-old man collapsed and died in the early hours of Tuesday while working at Partagal Math, Poinguinim, Canacona.
Canacona Police received a call from CHC Canacona at around 9:17 am on 25 November 2025, informing that a man had been brought dead to the casualty ward. During enquiry, police identified the deceased as Navina GE, aged 34, a resident of Canacona and originally from Karnataka.
According to police, Navina was engaged in cloth design and flag-bunting work at Partagal Math at around 1:00 am, when he began feeling unwell. He reportedly stepped away to drink water but collapsed and fell unconscious before he could reach the water point.
He was immediately shifted to CHC Canacona by a 108 ambulance, where the doctor on duty declared him brought dead.
The body has been preserved at South Goa District Hospital, Margao for medico-legal procedures.
Further enquiry has been entrusted to PSI Ajit Velip of Canacona Police Station.
