MARGAO: A scooter rider lost his life following a road accident near the Konkan Railway Station, Margao, on November 3, 2025, after being hit by another scooter that was allegedly driven rashly.
According to a state complaint filed by ASI Dilkush Velip of Margao Town Police Station, the accused, Fairoz Ulla Khan, resident of Pedda, Margao, was riding a Yamaha Ray scooter in a rash and negligent manner while proceeding from Khareband towards Rawanfond Junction. Upon reaching in front of the Exit Gate of Konkan Railway Station, Margao, the accused’s scooter collided with the rear side of an Aviator scooter travelling in the same direction.
The Aviator rider, identified as Parshuram Talwar, resident of Housing Board, Davorlim, fell on the road and sustained severe head injuries. He was rushed to the Goa Medical College, Bambolim, where he succumbed to his injuries the same day.
Police conducted an inquest and autopsy, during which the police surgeon certified the cause of death as “head injury with fracture of multiple bones.” The body was later handed over to the family for final rites.
A case under Section 106(1) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS), 2023 has been registered at Margao Town Police Station, and PSI Sanjay Velip is conducting further investigation.
