PANAJI:A 35-year-old man, identified as Birendra Singh Bohra, died after accidentally falling into the sea near Big Daddy Casino in Panaji.
According to police reports, Bohra was reportedly sleeping on a parapet opposite the Old Secretariat when he fell into the water. Bystanders immediately rescued him and called for medical assistance.
Emergency responders from EMRI 108 rushed Bohra to the Goa Medical College (GMC) casualty ward, but he was declared dead upon arrival.
The deceased, a resident of Donapaula, Goa, originally from Nepal, was brought dead under Medico Legal Case No. 25/5944. The incident is being investigated by PSI Mahadev Pednekar of the Panaji Police Station.
