MAPUSA: A 49-year-old man was found dead at his residence in Khorlim, Mapusa, on Saturday, police said.
According to police, a medical memo was received from the on-duty medical officer of the North District Hospital, Mapusa, informing that Vasudev Narvekar, a resident of Khorlim, Mapusa, was brought dead to the casualty ward at around 10.15 am on March 29.
Enquiry with relatives and friends revealed that family members attempted to wake him up, but he did not respond. He was then shifted to the North District Hospital, Mapusa, where doctors declared him brought dead.
Police said the deceased had haemoglobin-related issues and was undergoing medication, including blood-thinning treatment. An unnatural death case has been registered at Mapusa Police Station under Section 194 of BNSS.
