PONDA: A man was found dead inside a room at Khadpaband, Ponda, following a call to the police from an unknown source.
The deceased has been identified as Johan Jojo, 30, a resident of Khadpaband originally from Jharkhand.
According to police reports, neighbors revealed that Johan had stayed overnight in the room and was discovered unconscious and unresponsive the next evening.
Emergency services were contacted, and upon arrival, medical staff pronounced him dead at the scene.
The body has been shifted to Shri Ganapatrao Dhondaji Hospital (SGDH) in Margao for further medico-legal procedures. PSI Krishna Gawas of Ponda Police Station is leading the ongoing investigation into the circumstances surrounding the death.
Authorities have appealed to anyone with information to come forward to assist with the inquiry.
