Bicholim: The body of a 45-year-old man was recovered from the river near Piligao Dock on 21 October 2025. Police received a call at 15:22 hours from PC 6702 reporting the presence of a floating body.
PSI Krishna Gawas of Bicholim Police Station, along with the Fire Fighter Team Bicholim, retrieved the body from the river.
The deceased was identified as Suverna, son of Datta Govekar, a resident of H.No. 58, Atilpeth, Bicholim, by his brother-in-law Gaurish Talaulikar.
Suverna had been reported missing a day earlier under Bicholim PS Missing Person Report No. 21/2025, filed on 20 October 2025.
Investigations into the circumstances of his death are ongoing.
