VALPOI: A man was found dead in a suspected case of suicide at Ambeli, Sattari on the evening of July 9, 2025.
The deceased has been identified as Sanjay Rane, a resident of Tamidgi, Paryem in Sattari.
The Valpoi Police received a call from an unknown caller at around 6:17 p.m., informing them about the body of a male person found hanging in the area. Upon reaching the site, police confirmed the identity of the deceased and informed the Valpoi Police Inspector.
An Unnatural Death (UD) case was registered, and an inquest panchnama was conducted at the scene in the presence of two panch witnesses. The body was then sent to the Goa Medical College (GMC) morgue for post-mortem examination.
The investigation is currently being carried out by PSI Sohan Malik of Valpoi Police Station. Authorities are working to determine the circumstances leading to the death.
