VERNA: A 37-year-old man from Zuarinagar, originally hailing from Nagpur, passed away following alleged excessive alcohol consumption.
According to Verna police, the deceased was drinking with friends on 31 May and was later found unconscious at his flat.
He was rushed to the Sub-District Hospital (SDH) in Chicalim, where he was declared brought dead.
Police conducted a scene of unnatural death investigation and an inquest panchanama. A post-mortem examination has been completed, but the final cause of death is awaiting the results of chemical analysis of the viscera.
The police continue their investigation into the incident.
