VALPOI: Valpoi Police booked a 45-year-old man after he was allegedly caught red-handed accepting gambling bets in a public place near the Government School in Valpoi.
According to a state complaint filed by HC Devidas Laxman Paryekar of Valpoi Police Station, the incident occurred around 11:53 am when the accused, Bhago Zore, 45, a resident of Naguem, Sattari, was found conducting illegal betting activities openly in the area.
Police seized ₹830 in cash and other gambling material from the spot.
An offence has been registered, and further investigation is underway under the supervision of HC Devidas Paryekar of Valpoi Police Station.
