Mapusa: Police arrested a 63-year-old man for allegedly running a gambling operation near Jitendra Fast Food at Corjuvem, Aldona in Bardez.
According to Mapusa Police, on June 25 between 6 pm and 7 pm, ASI Ajay Gaonkar caught Mahadev Dashrath Polle, resident of Podwal, Khorjuvem, Aldona, red-handed while conducting a game of chance. Police seized ₹2,100 in cash and other gambling accessories from the accused.
An offence was registered under relevant sections and the accused was formally placed under arrest the same evening. ASI Ajay Gaonkar is investigating the case.
