FATORDA: The Fatorda police have apprehended a 22-year-old man after he was allegedly found in a compromising position with another individual at the Osia Commercial Complex in Old Market, Margao.
The accused, identified as Sunil Lamani, a native of Hubli currently residing in Margao, was reportedly caught engaging in an obscene act with an unidentified man in a public corridor of the commercial building.
According to a complaint lodged by Balram Choudhari, a Margao resident originally from Jharkhand, the duo was seen unclothed and involved in indecent behaviour in a public space, prompting him to alert authorities.
Following the complaint, police detained Lamani and booked him under Section 296 read with Section 3(5) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) Act, 2023, which pertains to acts of public obscenity.
Police are continuing their efforts to identify and trace the second individual involved in the incident.
