CALANGUTE: Police arrested a 29-year-old man from Manipur after he was allegedly found in possession of 1.4 kg of ganja during a late-night raid near Dolphin Circle, Calangute.
According to Calangute Police, the raid was conducted between 11.15 pm on October 1 and 1.05 am on October 2. The accused, identified as Khuraijam Sanayaima, son of Khuraijam Jayanta Singh and a native of Imphal East, Manipur, was caught with 1,403.3 grams of suspected ganja, valued at around ₹1.4 lakh.
The contraband was seized under a search and seizure panchanama and an offence has been registered under Section 20(b)(ii)(B) of the NDPS Act, 1985.
Police said the accused was placed under arrest at 3.57 am on October 2. Further investigation is underway.
