PONDA: Ponda Police registered Crime No. 11/2026 under Section 20(b)(ii)(A) of the NDPS Act, 1985, based on a state complaint filed by PSI Krishna Gawas of Ponda Police Station.
According to police, on January 29, 2026, between 3.25 am and 6.00 am, during a narcotic raid conducted on reliable and specific information, the police team apprehended Armaan Sayed Muner Karwari, a resident of Curti, Ponda, near the KTC bus stand, Ponda.
The accused was caught red-handed while allegedly in illegal possession of 109 grams of narcotic substance suspected to be ganja, valued at approximately ₹10,900. Police said the accused had come to the spot to deliver the contraband to prospective customers and was unable to produce any legal documents for possession.
The seized narcotic substance was taken into custody under a search and seizure panchanama, and the accused was subsequently arrested in the case.
Further investigation is being carried out by PSI Pratik Bhat Prabhu of Ponda Police Station.
