QUEPEM: Quepem Police have arrested a man for allegedly possessing suspected ganja during a house search conducted at Tilamol.
According to a state complaint filed by PSI Digamber Bondre of Quepem Police Station, the search was carried out on April 1, 2026 between 5:39 pm and 6:55 pm at Crossville, Tilamol, Quepem. During the search at the residence of the accused, Rohit D’Silva of Crossville, police reportedly found him in illegal possession of 202 grams of greenish leafy substance with flowering and fruiting tops suspected to be ganja.
Police stated that the seized contraband is valued at approximately ₹20,000. Cash amounting to ₹20,000 was also recovered during the operation.
The accused has been taken into custody and further investigation is being carried out by LPSI Joycee Carvalho of Quepem Police Station.
