ANJUNA: Anjuna Police have registered a murder case following the death of a 53-year-old man in Siolim.
According to police, Anjuna PS Crime No. 26/2026 under Section 103(1) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, 2023 was registered on April 6, 2026 at 11:58 pm based on a complaint filed by Siddesh Rohidas Mandrekar (38), a businessman and resident of Deul Wada, Anjuna.
The complainant stated that on April 5, 2026, prior to 4:15 pm, at Portawado, Siolim, an unknown accused person allegedly murdered his cousin brother, Sushant Manohar Palyekar (53), resident of Dando, Siolim, by compressing his neck.
Police have registered the offence against unknown accused persons. Further investigation is being carried out by PI Suraj H. Gawas of Anjuna Police Station.
