COLVA: A man sustained serious stab injuries after a group of persons allegedly broke into his rented room at Carmona in the early hours of Sunday, with Colva Police registering an attempt to murder case.
According to police, complainant Pralhad Kasarlekar, a resident of Carmona and native of Khanapur, Belgaum (Karnataka), reported that the incident occurred on March 23 at around 3:37 am. The accused, identified as Lenny along with three to four unknown persons, allegedly criminally trespassed into the rented room of Jitendra Kasarlekar by breaking open the front door.
Police said the accused assaulted Jitendra Kasarlekar and inflicted a serious stab injury on his neck, besides causing injuries to his chest and shoulder, in an alleged attempt to murder him.
Colva Police have registered a case, and further investigation is being carried out by PSI Prathamesh Mahale.
