New Delhi: Mumbai is set to host the National Fitness & Wellness Conclave on November 1, an event aimed at celebrating and advancing India’s growing fitness and wellness ecosystem. Union Minister for Youth Affairs & Sports and Labour & Employment, Dr Mansukh Mandaviya, will headline the conclave, joined by Minister of State for Youth Affairs & Sports Raksha Nikhil Khadse, Sports Secretary Hari Ranjan Rao, and Indian Olympic Association President P.T. Usha.
The event will feature a distinguished lineup of guests from diverse fields including Olympic medallist Saina Nehwal, World Cup-winning cricketer Harbhajan Singh, filmmaker Rohit Shetty, actors Saiyami Kher and Jackky Bhagnani, among others. Together, they will share insights on fitness, perseverance, and the role of health in building a resilient nation.
Dr Mandaviya said the conclave marks a crucial step in expanding the Fit India Movement envisioned by Prime Minister Narendra Modi. “India is a young nation, but lifestyle diseases are on the rise. We must unite to make fitness and wellness a national priority,” he said, expressing optimism about the collaboration between policymakers, athletes, and fitness entrepreneurs.
Through panel discussions and interactive sessions, the conclave will explore the business and social dimensions of fitness, focusing on how the industry can shape healthier communities. Rohit Shetty will discuss the intersection of cinema and fitness culture, while Saina Nehwal will reflect on her physical and mental journey through professional sport.
A special segment will highlight key milestones of the Fit India Movement, showcasing its efforts to inspire citizens to adopt active lifestyles. The conclave will conclude with a felicitation ceremony honouring Fit India Ambassadors and Icons for their contributions to promoting a fitter and stronger Bharat.
