MANDREM: Mandrem Police carried out a special combing operation last night in the Arambol Beach and Sweet Lake areas under the supervision of SP North, Rahul Gupta IPS, and SDPO Pernem, S.M. Salim. The drive involved 1 PI, 7 PSIs, 25 HCs/PCs, and 3 LPCs, and focused on checking guest houses, hotels, rented premises, and verifying suspicious individuals in the area.
During the operation, a total of 127 persons were checked, with 19 individuals brought to Mandrem Police Station for further verification. Of these, 10 persons were arrested under preventive provisions for failing to submit mandatory tenant verification forms, while 8 others were found to have the required documents. One foreign national was also checked but, after verification of travel documents, was allowed to go.
Police said the drive was part of ongoing efforts to ensure public safety and law enforcement compliance in the area, and urged all residents and tenants to submit required verification documents promptly to avoid legal action.
