MANDREM: Mandrem Police Station has registered Crime No. 114/2025 on 14/12/2025 at 10.06 hrs under Section 15 of the Environment (Protection) Act, 1986 and Section 5 of the Noise Pollution (Regulation and Control) Rules, 2000.
The case has been registered on the complaint of Mr. Vaman Chari, Scientific Assistant attached to the Goa Pollution Control Board, Saligao. As per the complaint, on 13/12/2025, beyond 22.00 hrs, loud music was being played at M/s Morjim Culture, located at Gaude Waddo, Morjim, Pernem, without obtaining the requisite permission from the concerned authority.
The accused has been identified as Mr. Deepanshu Narang, owner of M/s Morjim Culture, a resident of Surat, Gujarat. The complainant stated that the loud music exceeded the permissible time limit and caused noise pollution in the locality. The music was subsequently stopped at around 22.20 hrs following intervention.
Further investigation in the matter is in progress and is being conducted by PI Girendre Naik of Mandrem Police Station.
