Mapusa: The Mapusa JMFC ‘D’ Court has granted bail to Devidas Gopinath Panjikar, the prime accused in a high-profile land grab case involving 2.8 lakh square meters of property in Corjuem, Aldona, valued at over ₹100 crore.
Panjikar, along with five others, is accused of forging documents and fabricating a will to illegally claim ancestral land. The court imposed strict bail conditions, including daily reporting to Mapusa Police for four days and a prohibition on tampering with evidence.
The investigation is ongoing, with authorities probing the possible roles of a notary, stamp vendor, and a legal professional in the fraud.
