MAPUSA: The Mapusa JMFC Court has granted bail to brothers Saurabh and Gaurav Luthra in a document forgery case registered by the Mapusa Police. The court allowed their release on execution of a personal bond of ₹50,000 each.
The bail order was pronounced after hearing arguments from both the prosecution and the defence. The case involves allegations of forgery and the use of fabricated documents, which were opposed by the prosecution citing the seriousness of the charges.
The defence, however, sought their release on bail, following which the court granted relief subject to conditions, including furnishing a personal bond of ₹50,000 each.
The Luthra brothers had earlier approached the court after being named in the case that has drawn attention due to the nature of the allegations. Although they were granted bail last week in the Birch by Romeo Lane fire incident, they remained in custody in connection with the separate forgery case until the present order.
